Welcome to Canadian Axle Inc. your online destination for Flexiride® rubber torsion axles. We are very excited to offer the complete line of Flexiride® Torsion Axles.

Flexiride® is an innovative trailer suspension system that offers a smooth, safe and practically shock-free ride. The key is the rubber torsion axle that offers a superior ride compared to traditional leaf springs. This creates a dampening effect which can dramatically reduce vibrations, especially in unloaded trailers.

Flexiride® rubber torsion axles are so versatile and reliable they are perfectly suited for all the following trailer designs:

  • Recreational Trailers

  • Boat Trailers

  • Utility Trailers

  • Horse (Livestock) Trailers

  • Motorcycle Trailers

  • Industrial Trailers

  • Equipment Trailers

  • Conveyor Belt Systems

  • Food Vending Trailers

  • On and Off-Road Trailers

  • Mining Equipment

THE DESIGN

This superior design is safer and stronger than traditional welded units

Axles AnglesWhat makes Flexiride® so great begins with their One-Piece Spindle Arm. This superior design is safer and stronger than traditional welded units. The splined spindle arm is adjustable for a range of starting angles to suit special applications, go from +6 Degrees to -42 Degrees over 9 different settings. This makes things extremely easy when adjusting your trailer height, need to detach your trailer or make repairs.

To compliment the one-piece spindle arm is the Rubber Cartridge design. All Flexiride® rubber torsion axles use a high-quality proprietary rubber that guarantees a smoother and longer life. Due to the proprietary manufacturing process the strength ratio of rubber to metal bond exceeds the strength of associated steel parts. It also offers superior resistance to abrasive road elements which is very important here in Ontario. Our climate (and road conditions) can reduce the life of certain parts and machinery dramatically, so being able to have your trailer on the road for a few more years can make a serious impact on your bottom line.

Flexiride® utilizes Axle Brackets that allow for quick and easy installation, just Four bolts to mount and you’re ready to go! The Axle Tubing acts as an extra cross-member adding strength and prevents frame twisting. It also has built-in camber to compensate for deflection under load. The Nylon Support Bushing maintains axial position of the cartridge shaft and contributes to damping control.

FLEXIRIDE® VS LEAF SPRING AXLES

With all of the above reasons some people still may have questions about rubber torsion axles, if they are right for them and why they should use them over traditional leaf spring axles. Below are some more reasons you should consider Flexiride® rubber torsion axles for your next trailer project.

First and foremost is Durability. In Canada and the Northern United States our climate, weather and road conditions can wreak havoc on equipment, especially if it is on the roads exposed to sand and salt. That’s why the cartridge construction used in all Flexiride® torsion axles offer superior resistance to abrasive road elements, increasing the life and durability of the axle. Because the cartridge is press fitted inside the axle tube, it forms a water tight seal, thus allowing the axle immersion without having the tube inside exposed to corrosion.

The high-quality proprietary formula rubber guarantees a smoother ride and longer life. The independent suspension allows each wheel to travel totally independent from the others. This results in a smoother ride, less sway and reduced noise.
